Janis Brucker

Janis is a Hamburg based composer, music producer and pianist who creates music for film and television, commercials, audio plays, theatrical productions, and individual artists.

As multi-instrumentalist with a profound background as freelance recording and mixing engineer (Stereo and Dolby Atmos), he works on projects ranging from small ensembles to full orchestral scores, providing composition, arrangement, orchestration, live recordings and digital mockup production.

His work is featured in a variety of national and international productions, including TV and commercial campaigns, musical theater, and albums.

Janis’ musical voice has been strongly influenced by his education in jazz, classical, and film music at the Danish National Academy of Music in Odense and the Hamburg University of Music and Drama, where he was awarded a scholarship by the German Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.

He holds a lecturer position at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg teaching music production and music software.
